Personal Support Workers

The Australia Foundation for CDKL5 Research  require support worker staff.

Our non for profit organisation provides products and services to anyone as well as NDIS participants.

The Australian Foundation for CDKL5 Research provides complex medical supports to meet individual needs and to support the individual to achieve their aspired goals and outcomes. We are currently seeking applicants for several positions located around Geelong and Western Melbourne.

We advocate and support CALD and LGBTIQ+ inclusivity and awareness.

Qualifications & experience:
Preferably holding Minimum Cert. lll Individual / Disability / Personal Support or equivalent
Current level 2 First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis (HLTAID003)
Must have or obtain National Police Check, Working with Children’s Check, NDIS worker screening number
Prefer Driver License but not essential and car insurance if applicable
Be eligible for Employment visa within Australia and achieve IELTS >5.5 or equivalent.
Assist Client with medication certificate (or willing to acquire)
Nursing and medical skills are used extensively and a background in these areas of experience are desirable but not essential as training and qualifications can be achieved through work and training in house, or through a combination of external education and internal work experience.
Allied health practitioners and therapists are also eligible to apply.
Most important is the right attitude and passion for this essential, highly skilled and hard to find the right fit to support and assist the most highly dependent children and adults of our community.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Personal Care & Grooming
Manual Handling, hoisting training.
Tube feeding and respiratory care training.
Community Access/outreach Travel/transportation
Case Note Documentation
Follow Established Support Plans
Social Support and In-home care.
Possess High-quality standard of care, exceptional infection control skills, and a team mindset.

Remuneration:
